The short version: no affiliate links, no ads, no paid coverage. If any of that changes, it gets said on this page and on screen.

Affiliate links

This site currently contains no affiliate links. Nothing on these pages pays us a commission, and there are no ads on this site.

If we ever add affiliate links, this page will say so in plain words before you click anything, and the link itself will be marked. An affiliate link means we'd earn a small commission if you bought something after clicking through — at no extra cost to you. It would never change what we cover or how we cover it.

Sponsorship and paid content

Nothing on this site or on the channel is paid placement. No company has paid for a brief, and no brief is sponsored content.

If that ever changes, sponsored content will be labeled as sponsored, on screen and in the description, not buried in a hashtag. We won't take money to soften a story about the company paying us.

Editorial independence

Nobody outside this operation reviews a script before it publishes. There is no owner with a political agenda signing off on copy, because there's no room in a 50-second script for two versions of events.

Our sourcing standard is described on the About page: facts confirmed against at least two trusted outlets and, where possible, the primary document.

AI and synthetic media

Our videos are assembled with software, and the narration is synthesized from a written script. Every line in that script is reported and checked against sources before it is recorded — the voice is synthetic, the reporting is not.

We do not generate photorealistic images or video of real people or events with AI. Photographs in our briefs are real, freely licensed images from Wikimedia Commons, credited on screen and in the video description.

Contact

We don't publish an email address on this site. The most reliable way to reach us is through the channel: comments on a brief, or the contact details listed on our YouTube About page.

Corrections and story tips

Found something wrong? Say so on the brief itself — that's the fastest route, and it keeps the correction visible to everyone who watched it.

Story tips are read, but we only report what we can independently confirm, so a tip is a starting point rather than a source.
